Importing the Customizable product Using Workspace Projects into destination environment failed with below error in log : WarningReport_*.log

Below is the sample test case to replicate the issue:

1.Login to Siebel Application, from Site Map navigate to "Administration - Application" => ”Responsibilities” drill down to "Responsibility Administration View".Add the below responsibilities.

TestProd_Resp1 TestProd_Resp2 Test Prod_Resp3

2. Now go back to Site Map and navigate to "Administration - Product“ => "Product Definitions" =>create new record with Product name:“TestProduct” with Structure Type ”Customizable”.

3. In the below "Versions" applet drill down on "Work Space" and click on "User Interface" Tab to create new record with below field values.

Option name: TestProduct_UI Option Type: High Interactivity Base Theme: Base Theme with Auto Pricing JS Product Theme: Menu Product Theme JS Responsibility: Add 2 responsibilities : i) Test Prod_Resp1 ii) Test Prod_Resp2

4. Now navigate back to "Product Definitions" and Release the product clicking on the “Release” button.

5. Steps to export Product Structure

Click on "Workspace Projects" Tab, create new record and fill in the required details. From the below “Contents” Tab click on the "Add" button to add the product i.e “TestProduct” From the "Workspace Projects Menu" Select and click on "Export Contents”, a dialog box with the "Full structure" and "Download file" button appears. Click on the "Full structure" button,once the file is exported, Click on the "Download" button to download the file and then close the dialogue box.

6. Steps to import Product Structure

Click on "Workspace Projects" Tab, create new record and fill in the required details. Click on "Workspace Projects Menu" Select and click on "Import Contents”, a dialog box with the "Import Contents" is displayed. Click on "Choose File" button and select the file from the folder where this is downloaded.

Observation was that product is sucessfully imported into destination environment.

7. Deleting and adding of the responsibilities

Go to Site Map Query for "Administration - Application" => Responsibilities =>Query for the Responsibility "Test Prod_Resp1" and delete the same. Navigate to "Administration - Product" => Product Definition =>Query for the Product “TestProduct” ,In the below "Versions" applet click on the "Work Space" to drill down to "User Interface" Tab below and add the responsibility "Test Prod_Resp3". Notice that Responsibility "Test Prod_Resp1" is not available in the MVG as this is deleted from responsibility view. Release the Product "TestProduct"

8.Deletion of User Interface record from the customizable product.

Go back to Site Map and navigate to "Administration - Product"=> "Product Definition" => Query for the Product ”TestProduct”, Lock the Product to make the changes. In the below "Versions" applet click on the "Work Space" to drill down to "User Interface" Tab and delete the existing record .Now "User Interface" Tab should be blank with no records Navigate back to "Product Definition",Release the Product click on the Release button.

9. Cleaning the old product versions to reproduce the issue while importing the product into destination environment after exporting the same

a. Go to sitemap,Navigate to "Administration - Business Service" => Simulator. Create new record and provide the below details and click on the "Run" button.

Service Name: ISS Authoring Import Export Service

Method Name: CleanupSingleObject.

b. Input arguments:

Name: RootObjectType Value: ISS_PROD_DEF

Name: VODObjectNum Value: that is, S_VOD.OBJECT_NUM or S_PROD_INT.CFG_MODEL_ID

c. Follow the step 5 to export the product structure.

10. Import the product into destination environment by following the step 6) to import the product structure.

Workspace contents import popup window will show the error "Import detected some Conflicts! Please Save and Examine Report" , click on the "DownloadReport" button to down load the error file i.e WarningReport_Testprod_1_1-XXXX_ and check for the reported errors.
